Dunalastair Hotel Pitlochry (The)
Striking 3 star Victorian country hotel, with 28 bedrooms including Superior and Four Poster room. The hotel occupies a prominent position overlooking a small village, 13 miles from the A9, north of Pitlochry.
Privately owned and run, this Victorian hotel dominates the village square of Kinloch Rannoch by Loch Rannoch and the mountain 'Schiehallion'.
The hotel has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme. Styled in contemporary and rich tones, yet retaining period charm, there are now 28 bedrooms including double, king and four poster room, all individually decorated with antique and modern style furniture, and a mixture of fabrics and furnishings that include comfortable armchairs to gaze out of the window in larger rooms.
Very popular as a weekend getaway, the relaxed environment is complimented by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. Hotel facilities include a lounge room with log fire, quiet conservatory, a small Whisky Bar with a very large collection of Malt Whiskies, and an elegant oak panelled dining room serving a range of seasonal and classic dishes with a modern personality.
